Have South Beach Diet Pizzas changed?

Because I heated up a pepperoni pizza and it looked all splotchy, not discolored, but like the cheese had not melted. It looked weird, and, furthermore, after 4 minutes in my microwave, the crust was still flimsy and it is usually crispy after four minutes. I checked the expiration date and it was difficult to decipher, but I think it was indicating a "best if used by date" of 03/17/2008, which means I bought it with only 4 good days remaining. Now, I dont know if thats typical, bec I never checked the expiration date before. Has anyone else noticed this? I tossed it in the trash.
