Should I go to the dance?

I am a junior in high school and Ive been dating a freshman (yes in high school) for 4 months now and its been going pretty great...theres a dance at our school called freshman/sopre banquet..and idk if i should go or not..on one hand i honestly only know like 2 of his friends a little and thats about it..its going to be kind of awkward and im not going to be able to talk to any1 but him..and on the other hand i want to go because i want to have fun with him and i am after all his gf..but i dont want to not have a good time jus cuz ill probably be lonely and bored sometimes and ruin it for him..help
