My period is a day late but I keep getting negative tests?

I have never been late on my period unless I was pregnant but I usually had a positive test by now (very faint but usually positive). I have all of the signs of pregnancy but no BFP. My cervix is still high and soft, my and are still sore, I have been breaking out, I am emotional, bloated and somewhat crampy, i have been peeing twice a night and during the day almost every hour, I am on and off queasy as well. Has anyone had a late positive test. If so how long? Was this using an early pregnancy test, because I am using First Response. Thanks:)
