Spring break 2011? DR vs MEXICO?

hi people. Im planning a spring break vacation on the week of feb 26 ( our college sb ). I was wondering where is the best place to go to. We went to cabo last year and loved it because it had a nice town, nice beach, and nice parties. We are not into partying and drinking so cancun and acapulco arent in our interests. What do you guys think of DR? puerto plata or cabarete or boca chica or punta cana?? in mexico what would be better? playa del carmen or puerto vallarta?? sorry for the generalized question but im trying to narrow down my options. We want a place where we can do stuff during the day and a nice party scene with clubs at night filled with other spring breakers but doesnt have to be overcrowded craziness. Thnx in advance
