The Silk Road is a great example of cultural diffusion through trade. The Potato Famine in Ireland and resulting emigration to America and the Chinese moving California for employment and gold are good examples of cultural diffusion through migration, and so is most American immigration. As for warfare, think occupying forces and imperialism.
