How can I get a tv broadcast picture on a budget?

I did not pay attention to all that ogue and digital picture news until the tree outside my balcony grew 2 feet. Direct TV can not block it out to get me a picture so they will let me out of the contract. Which is fine since they were 2X the monthly bill after a teaser rate is gone. I am now budgeting any way on can. How do I get my toshiba big gloss block tv to show some football?
